Update May 2008: After some delay the Portuguese Vila Gale group has now started building their 5 star hotel resort with Spa and an 18 hole golf course in Cauipe most which is expected to be ready in 2009. Its about 2 km from the center of Cumbuco. They will also 3 resorts in the coming years. This of course means that real estate prices in Cumbuco will go up as the completion date of the golf course comes near. Normally a house will be built in 6 months, after all licenses have been obtained which in Cumbuco takes 30 to 90 days. You can have your own house designed for 30 reais per m2, when UDG also builts the house is than this will be deducted from the total price.

 

Note : It is possible to get your permanent visa when buying real estate over 150.000 reais here in Brazil. The visa is valid for a married couple and 3 children.
