The pousada is situated on the principle road of Taiba. A 2 minute walk to the fishermans square/market which is also the closest swimming/kite/surf beach and 5 minutes walk to the main square. The colourful pousada is situated around a very green internal courtyard, is surrounded by tall palms and has a tropical feel. It has banana trees and out front there is a huge ancient mango tree which is full of fruit. It has 7 apartments, 5 standard in a row together and 2 luxury in a separate duplex. Each room has its own terrace and hammock area either with fans or air con. The separate 1 bedroom owners accommodation is joined onto a large reception area which has hand made Spanish style floor tiles, from the reception you can access the shop which has been done in a very rustic style with a sand floor and wooden shelves held up with rope. There is a stock local surf brands, gifts and kitesurfing equipment. The windows of the shop on the road side entrance ( pictured ) have been surrounded by mosaic mirror and draw much attention. The pousada has a bar, restaurant and pizzeria which has a great reputation, separate restaurant seating at the back of the pousada which also doubles up as the cinema area.
The kitchen is a well fitted and very large. The wood burning pizza oven is situated just out from the kitchen.
The centre of the courtyard has a sand chill out area with sofas and oversized cushions where guest can relax and look for the very frequent shooting stars at night.  The bar is a rustic "palm thatch" construction where you can get served a drink while sat in swinging hammock chairs. The restaurant wash rooms are fitted with the spanish tiles and the sink has been hand carved from drift wood. Above the shop and kitchen is the newly constructed seating area for the restaurant, also a thatch and rustic construction. At night you really feel you are in the jungle high up amongst the trees.  The pousada is also very well known in the kite surfing community as the Brasil head quaters for BEST Kiteboarding. It has a kite storage room where each room has a locker for storing their equipment. There is also an IKO ( international kiteboarding organisation ) certified school at the pousada.
